Celebrating Change at MBH Solicitors: Thank You Kath, and Congratulations Dawn!

This November marks an important moment for MBH Solicitors as we celebrate both continuity and change within our Partnership team.

After an incredible career spanning more than five decades, Kath Shallicker will be stepping down from her role as Partner. Thankfully, this isn’t goodbye - Kath will continue with us as a Consultant, sharing her expertise and supporting our conveyancing department.

Kath’s journey in law began back in 1970 when she joined Taylors Bridge Baron & Sykes of Wigan as a Junior. Over the years, through determination and hard work, she progressed to become a Legal Executive, qualifying as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in 2007 and later as a CILEx Practitioner in Conveyancing Practice in 2023.

Kath is renowned for her commitment to clients and colleagues alike – always willing to go the extra mile, tackling complex conveyancing matters with care and professionalism. Beyond her impressive legal career, Kath is deeply rooted in the Wigan community and has spent years volunteering, fundraising, and mentoring young people.

We are immensely grateful for everything Kath has brought to MBH - her expertise, kindness, and dedication have shaped not only our firm but also the careers of many around her. We look forward to continuing to work alongside her in her new role.

At the same time, we are delighted to announce that Dawn Jones has been appointed as a Partner at MBH Solicitors.

Dawn has worked in conveyancing for over thirty years, starting out as a secretary and progressing through the ranks to qualify as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in 1998. She has handled hundreds of residential property transactions each year and is highly regarded for her attention to detail, pragmatic advice, and client-focused approach.

We couldn’t be prouder to welcome Dawn to the Partnership. Her wealth of experience and leadership will be invaluable as MBH continues to grow and serve clients across the region.
