Heather Roberts is an experienced solicitor, having qualified in September 2007. She specialises in Contentious Trust and Probate cases, and has had considerable experience in dealing with such cases throughout her career. Heather is a full member of the Association of Contentious Trusts and Probate Solicitors (ACTAPS). Heather also specialises in professional negligence cases against a range of professionals, with particular expertise on solicitor/will writer negligence in probate cases.

Heather can offer clients assistance with the following types of cases:

  • Challenging the validity of a will
  • Bringing a claim for reasonable financial provision under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975
  • Disputes over the administration of an estate
  • Defending claims against estates
  • Recovering inheritance entitlements where an executor/administrator has failed to properly distribute it
  • Order for Sale / repossession proceedings on behalf of an executor, where someone is residing in an estate property without consent
  • Breach of Trust claims
  • Cohabitee or co-owner disputes over properties – claims under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996
  • Professional Negligence claims.

Heather is an advocate for Alternative Dispute Resolution and will always give clear and comprehensive advice, not only in relation to your prospects of success, but also costs, cost risks, and options for settlement, including mediation.

Heather has worked on approximately 100 cases per year since qualifying as a Solicitor. Heather is supervised by senior partner, Gillian Lavelle.

Outside the office Heather enjoys spending time with her family.
