Meet Paula Caldwell: Legal Advisor at MBH Solicitors

At MBH Solicitors, we are proud to have a team of experienced legal professionals dedicated to providing expert support to our clients. One of our valued team members is Paula Caldwell, a Legal Advisor specialising in Family Law and Private Client matters. With over 25 years of experience, Paula brings extensive knowledge and a compassionate approach to every case she handles.

Paula completed her Law Degree at the University of Lancaster in 1994 and has since built a strong career in Family Law and Private Client services. She spent the majority of her career working for a family-run firm in her hometown of Liverpool, where she led her own departments and managed a diverse caseload.

Her expertise includes:

• Divorce & Finances – Supporting clients through the complexities of separation and financial settlements.
• Children & Contact Issues – Helping parents navigate child arrangements with sensitivity and care.
• Injunctions (Non-Molestation Orders ) – Advising and assisting clients in protective legal measures when necessary.
• Wills & Probate – Ensuring clients’ wishes are met with well-drafted wills and providing guidance through probate.
• Powers of Attorney & Court of Protection – Helping individuals plan for their future and support vulnerable loved ones.

Throughout her career, Paula has worked on an average of 100 cases per year, demonstrating her extensive experience in handling both straightforward and highly complex legal matters.

Passionate About Family Law
Paula has a particular passion for the children’s side of Family Law, finding it especially rewarding to help families achieve the best possible outcomes. While some cases can be legally and emotionally complex, she finds great satisfaction in ensuring her clients feel supported and secure throughout the process. Her calm and approachable nature has earned her praise from many clients who appreciate her ability to put them at ease.

Having lived in Wigan for over 20 years, Paula joined the MBH Solicitors team in September 2022, bringing her wealth of experience to our Family Law and Private Client teams. She values the friendly and supportive environment at MBH, which aligns with her experience of working in female-led law firms throughout her career.

Outside the Office
When she’s not supporting clients, Paula enjoys long walks along the canal with her enthusiastic Tibetan Terrier, Teddie, and her less enthusiastic teenage son. She also loves travelling and considers the Greek Islands her favourite holiday destination.
